I grew up drawing, tinkering, making things and playing with paint. Not much has changed. I eventually found my way into art school at CCA in the Bay Area. After graduation, I spent time in the furniture and design industry, all the while spending every night in the studio working on my paintings. Eventually, painting won out and took me on a journey of showing and placing my work in locations around the globe.
In our bustling, chaotic, technology driven / mass produced culture, I believe in the profound role of color and the disappearing mark of the human hand. A glimpse into an unseen world that surrounds us daily is my aim, all the while finding myself bewitched by the beauty, lusciousness and mystery of the paint itself. There is a simple structure upon which I build each painting: control and chaos. I am fascinated with the dialogue created as disparate worlds collide.
